Hi! I'm Kenna.
I'm a self-taught artist born and raised in Utah. I've been married for 4 years and we are expecting our first baby boy in March this year!
I always loved art growing up, but my journey didn’t truly start until 8th grade.
Middle school was a bit of a rollercoaster for me. That's where I found comfort in art, and it became my favorite activity in those awkward years. I started sharing my paintings on Instagram in high school and decided to give Etsy a go when I got to college. It didn't pick up for months and I actually almost quit!

But slowly and surely, it started to gain traction.
So there I was – going to school for marketing, working part-time for a local swim & activewear brand doing social media, and doing art on the side. I unexpectedly got let go from my job, which led me down a spiral of “do I really need to go to school?"
I decided to embrace art full-time and drop out of college (whoops, sorry Mom!)
It was a huge, terrifying leap, but I'm so glad I did it. There have been many more bumps along the road since then, but I'm so grateful for the opportunity to share the light, joy, and hope of Jesus Christ through my artwork.
A little more about me and my artwork...
Where does your inspiration come from?
The short answer is everywhere!
But I'm especially inspired by music. I love looking through hymnbooks to find inspiration for new artwork and titles for pieces I'm finishing up. You'll often find me scribbling down lyrics of worship songs in my notes app to use as inspiration for new pieces.
I think that music and art have something special in common: they can both communicate and create feelings that regular words on a page can't.
I love thinking about how I can translate the feeling I get from listening to a particular song into a painting that can give you the same feelings of hope, faith, trust, and joy each time you look at it.
What is your favorite painting you've created?
This is an impossible question for me to answer! A few of my favorites are
- "Daughter of a King"
- "Among The Flowers"
- "The Third Day"
- "The Moments That Matter"
Outside of painting, what are your favorite things to do?
I've always loved baking, reading, and spending time outside.
I've recently gotten into sewing and have loved learning how to make quilts, bags, and even my own clothes!
I'd love to get into knitting or needlepoint too. Really, I just love any cozy, creative hobby!
